What We’re Leaning Into Together

Over these 21 days, our prayer journey will move through three intentional rhythms:

Returning to First Love

Turning our hearts back to God with holy reverence, repentance, renewed hunger, and fresh encounters with His Spirit.

Filled and Sent

As hearts are renewed, we ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit and sent together as a bold, unified witness to Jesus.

Faith that Reproduces

The fruit of renewal and obedience is faith that loves deeply, serves others, reaches nations, and multiplies disciples.

Prayers and Testimonies

Share prayer requests and testimonies from the fast so we can pray for you and give thanks for what God is doing.

Share a Prayer Request

We would be honored to partner with you in prayer. Please let us know how our staff can pray and intercede for you during this time of fasting.

Share a Testimony

As God speaks, moves, or brings clarity during these days, we invite you to share what He’s doing. Testimonies strengthen the body and bring God glory.

About Fasting

Why We Fast

The purpose of fasting is to draw nearer to God.

Throughout Scripture, fasting is connected to intentionally removing distractions so we can give greater attention to the Lord. It has a way of resetting our inner life — quieting our flesh, sharpening our spiritual hunger, and renewing us from the inside out.

Fasting does not earn God’s favor. It positions us to receive what He already desires to give.

As we fast, we create space to listen more clearly, respond more quickly, and celebrate the goodness and mercy of God at work in our lives.

What Fasting Is (and Isn’t)

Biblically, fasting involves abstaining from food for a spiritual purpose. For that reason, we strongly encourage everyone to consider some form of food fast during these 21 days.

At the same time, participation will look different for each person.

Your fast should carry a level of challenge, but it should also be approached with wisdom. Know your body, consider your responsibilities, and most importantly, seek the Lord in prayer and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Types of Fasts

Below are several common ways people choose to fast. These are not requirements — simply examples to help you prayerfully discern what the Lord may be inviting you into.

Complete Fast
Abstaining from all food and drinking only liquids, typically water, with juice or broth as an option to help sustain this type of fasting.

Selective Fast
Removing specific items from your diet for a period of time. One example is the Daniel Fast, which eliminates meat, sweets, and bread, focusing on fruits, vegetables, and water or juice.

Partial Fast
Abstaining from food during certain times of the day, such as from morning until mid-afternoon or from sunup to sundown.

Non-Food Fast
For those unable to fast food due to health reasons, a non-food fast may be appropriate. This could be a fast from social media, entertainment, or other habits that compete for attention.
