In Psalm 40, David was giving glory to God for flipping his situation around! God had pulled him out of a deep PIT and placed his feet upon a firm and secure foundation!

You’ll always have a SONG in your heart when the WORD OF GOD has a HOME in your heart! Colossians 3:16 is such a rich and essential scripture!

The priests went IN and OUT of the temple daily performing what they had been used to doing, but when God showed up, they were struck STILL with the AWE of His glory!

I’ve always loved this passage in 2 Samuel. David was in need of buying a threshing floor to build an altar to the Lord. It was more than an altar for worship; it was an altar for sacrifice! They are two of the same! Therefore, David did not feel right about buying it at NO cost.

We can learn so much from children when it comes to praise! They bring God their worship with total abandonment, and they are definitely not concerned with what their neighbors think! It’s for the Audience of ONE!!

One thing I’m grateful for is the righteous blood of Jesus that tore the veil of separation between us and God’s presence! We don’t need to be afraid of God; He’s a compassionate and forgiving Father. But, we DO need a healthy reverence and Fear of the Lord restored back into the church today.

Do you know how to encourage yourself in the Lord? 

David was facing a very painful situation and was greatly distressed! His village, including his family members, had been captured, and he was worried, anxious, and frightened!

“Come, see a Man!”

These were the words uttered from the lips of the Samaritan woman at the well to her friends after having a real, authentic encounter with Jesus!

I love this incredible exhibit of fervency displayed by the blind man in Luke 18. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he stormed the atmosphere with persistent cries of supplication! What a beautiful picture of intercession! 

John 14:26 says, ”If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.“ How can we hate the people we are commanded to love?
