Build His House.
Build Their House.

Building a dwelling place for His presence in Houston and Christ-centered homes for vulnerable children in Haiti and Honduras.

God is drawing people from across Houston — young adults, families, intercessors, neighbors — into a deeper place of worship, prayer, and discipleship. He is building something in the Third Ward that rests on His presence and reaches generations.

This is a sacred moment to respond.

A Dwelling Place for His Presence in the Heart of Houston

A cross at Nations House of Prayer

At Nations House of Prayer, everything begins with the presence of Jesus.

Isaiah 56:7 declares, “My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

We believe God is inviting us to build Him a house — a place where Jesus is adored, His presence is hosted, His Word is taught, and His people are formed into disciples who love Him deeply.

This is more than a construction project.

This is obedience to the Lord’s invitation to establish an altar in the heart of our city — a place where worship and intercession rise day after day, shaping families, neighborhoods, and future generations.

As we build His house, we believe He will build His people.

Why We Must Build Now

A man receiving food at a food distribution at Nations House of Prayer

The Third Ward is hungry for the presence of God. Young adults are gathering. Families are finding community. Neighbors are walking in asking for prayer. God is breathing on what He started at 3353 Elgin.

But the building is not yet ready for the work He is entrusting to us.

Completing the sanctuary, community space, and children’s wing will:

  • expand room for prayer and worship
  • create space for discipleship and pastoral care
  • serve inner-city youth and families
  • strengthen outreach and neighborhood ministry
  • prepare the house for future growth

We believe we are in a window of obedience — a moment to respond to what God is doing. The year-end match makes this a strategic time to accelerate the vision.

Building His House

PHASE 1
First floor renovations at Nations House of Prayer

THE SANCTUARY

A PLACE FOR HIS PRESENCE

The sanctuary will be the heart of Nations: a place for weekly prayer sets, worship gatherings, teaching, and moments of encounter. This is where believers will come to minister to the Lord and be transformed by His presence.

THE COMMUNITY SPACE

DISCIPLESHIP & HOSPITALITY

We are building a ministry-driven coffee shop and study space that will become a spiritual home for students, young adults, intercessors, and neighbors. A place for conversations, Bible studies, discipleship, and connection.

PHASE 2

THE CHILDREN’S WING

A HOME FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

Phase 2 will serve children and teens in the Third Ward through after-school discipleship, outreach, and connection. This wing will strengthen families and help raise up a generation who love Jesus.

God Is Moving in the Third Ward

A young girl from the community at our Back to School Block Party

This year, the Lord has opened doors for connection and ministry in our neighborhood:

  • Over 200 neighbors attended our Back-to-School Block Party, including 140 children.

  • Multiple youth and adults have encountered the Lord, including a 16-year-old girl who gave her life to Jesus.

  • Neighbors regularly walk into Nations asking for prayer, community, and support.

  • Thanksgiving and Christmas outreaches have strengthened families and built relationships that continue today.

These are the first fruits — and the beginning of what God will do as we build His house.

Build His House. Build Their House.

As we build His house in Houston, we are also building their homes in Haiti and Honduras. This is not three separate projects — this is one movement responding to God’s heart for His presence and His people.
