1 Thess. 2:19-20 – For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at His coming? Is it not you? For you are our glory and joy.
Paul, the great apostle and missionary, penned this to his spiritual children in Thessalonica. Many had turned from idols to serve the true and living God! (1 Thess. 1:9)
The Greek word for CROWN here is STEPHANOS which means “A BADGE OF VICTORY.” The word also refers to a believer’s rewards.
Think about it like this: Paul’s crowns and rewards were also the very souls he had led to Jesus! They were the victory he had gained! He burned for those souls with the Father’s love!
One day I imagine God’s children enthusiastically presenting their crowns/rewards back to Jesus!
ONLY HE is WORTHY of what ONLY HE can accomplish through our lives on this earth!
Nations House of Prayer exists to offer up night and day incense to God through worship and intercession over our city and the nations of the earth. We only hope to lay CROWNS (SOULS) at His feet!
Let’s give Him what He’s worthy of!!!
