If you’re wondering who spoke these words, they are none other than the very red words of Jesus!
Jesus, our incredibly KIND, GENTLE, FRIENDLY, LOVING Father!
He is ALL of those endearments and much, much MORE!
How thankful I am for His KINDNESS that led me to repentance!
I am equally thankful for his correction and guidance in my life! It’s LOVE!
We talk a lot today about the love of God (and it’s wonderful!), however, we talk little about repentance and correction. Why is that? It’s the other side of the same coin. Remember, these are the words of Jesus, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.” (NKJV)
Can you imagine if your parents never trained, instructed, or corrected you? It may have appeared very kind of them, but in the long run, it wouldn’t have been very loving for your overall growth and development!
I’m thankful that because God loves me, He guides me into things that are best for me and He pricks my heart when I am doing something contrary to who He created me to be!
Lord, your LOVE is SO KIND!
