Judges 5:7 — Village life ceased, it ceased in Israel, Until I, Deborah, arose, Arose a mother in Israel.
The name Deborah means bee, as in “honey bee.” When reading an article about honey bees, I discovered some of their instincts:
Honey bees tend to their young!
Honey bees guard their home against predators!
Honey bees bring home food even when it’s hard to find!
Honey bees turn nectar into liquid gold through cooperation with other bees!
In short, bees LEAD.
God is in need of leaders (Mothers and Fathers) in His body more than ever!
If we are to carry out the Great Commission to GO and make disciples, we need courageous men and women of God to ARISE and to LEAD!!!
Awake, awake, Deborah! Awake, awake, sing a song! Arise, Barak, and LEAD your captives away, o son of Abinoam! –Judges 5:12
Perhaps you’ve been a Christian for a long time, and after years of learning, you still feel inadequate or underdeveloped to disciple someone. That’s an old tactic of the enemy to get you to focus more on yourself than others! God has already equipped you with everything you need! Don’t sit dormant any longer when there is a younger generation crying out for someone to show them the way!
The TIME is NOW!!!
ARISE!!!
