Psalm 78:68-69 – He chose instead the tribe of Judah, and Mount Zion, which He loved. There He built His sanctuary as high as the heavens, as solid and enduring as the earth.
Mount Zion represents the presence of God!
Mount Zion was considered one of the most exalted (highest places) in the city. What beautiful imagery that NO ONE is ABOVE God!
Out of all the tribes God could have chosen, He picked Judah!
Judah means “Praise” or “Praised.” The root form of praise means TO THANK!
God delighted to make His home in the midst of the Praises and Thanksgiving of His people!!
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Psalm 22:3
Lastly, God chose Judah because he LOVED him! The definition of love (ahab) delighted my heart! It means to have affection for, the act of being a friend or a lover, or having a human appetite for objects such as food, drink, sleep…
The presence of God is for His friends! It’s for those who adore and thank Him, for those who honor and obey Him!
And just as we desire to be with God, …. He LONGS to be with us!!
Mind blowing!!
