Jonah 1:3 – But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.

There will always be an enticing escape, a boat going in the opposite direction,

…an easier route, or IS IT?

In Jonah’s case, DISOBEYING the will of God cost him MORE than following it! The grass appeared GREENER, but it was an illusion!

The WILL OF GOD may be hard at times but don’t exchange the hardness of a season for a more alluring ship! Learn from Jonah’s experience; the voyage will take longer and the arrival may not be what you expected!

When staying grounded on the path God has for you, let TRUST be your compass! We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps (Proverbs 16:9).

You won’t always love where God places you, but if you trust Him, contentment will expand in your heart.

Sometimes, the seasons we love the least are seasons we will miss the most, mainly because we discover they were seasons of great depth and growth in the Lord! God will always prepare you for what He’s called you to; He often prunes and cuts away before intense, beautiful flourishing occurs!

Trust Him!
