Psalm 105:17-19 – He sent a man before them — Joseph — who was sold as a slave. They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the Lord tested him.
Wow! The word of the Lord TESTED Joseph!
Have you ever had a clear word or a dream from God? Joseph did at just 17 years of age! The dream was SO clear that he shared it with his brothers prematurely.
Joseph didn’t realize there would be a pit and a prison first. His dream was going to test him. This testing was NOT to punish Joseph; it was FUEL to fortify, strengthen, and prepare him!!
Though God reveals BIG dreams to us, we will only fulfill them in the TIMING of the Lord. Be patient; preparation is the foundation we need to fully hold our dream!
When the time of Joseph’s fulfillment came, he was able to forgive his brothers. That never would have happened had he not been tested first!
If you find yourself in a season of preparation, EMBRACE IT! Lean in and welcome all that God may be molding inside you.
Take heart; when the time comes, it will be worth the wait!
The vision will still happen at the appointed time. It hurries toward its goal. It won’t be a lie. If it’s delayed, wait for it. It will certainly happen. It won’t be late. (Habakkuk 2:3)
