1 John 3:17 – If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?

Love is a verb!

Ultimately, our love for God should GO somewhere!

If we truly love Him, we will help our neighbor.

At Nations House of Prayer, we’ve had the privilege to LOVE our surrounding community through various avenues such as hosting food drives, giving Bibles to international students at the University of Houston, and helping provide school supplies to Houston’s largest housing project (which is within walking distance from our building).

We want our worship to look like something. In John chapter 21 Jesus asks Peter if he loves him three times! Each time, He commands him to feed His sheep!

Jesus drove home the point that if we LOVE, we will also DO! The Great Commandment and Great Commission go hand in hand.

The next time you leave the house of God after worshipping Him, don’t leave your love behind. Share it with others! IT may be the true portrait of Jesus they are looking for!

“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” –Matthew 25:40

We love you, Jesus,
Heart of Nations House of Prayer,
