Luke 7:14-15 – Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” So he who was dead sat up and began to speak…

This was the scene when Jesus presented back to the Widow of Nain her son raised from the dead. It was also the scene where people glorified Jesus exclaiming, “God has visited His people!”

If there was ever a time we needed a Holy visitation from God, it’s NOW!

When Jesus arrives on the scene, THINGS CHANGE! Dead things come to LIFE; hearts BEAT AGAIN!

Luke 7:14 states that Jesus came and touched the OPEN COFFIN. The more I wondered about why the coffin was open during an outdoor funeral procession, the more the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart.

Perhaps the open coffin represented an opportunity! When paralleling this passage of scripture with evangelism, there are opportunities all around us to call forth lost souls out of the tomb who are ripe and ready for harvest! They may just be waiting for HOPE to roll onto the scene!

As Nations House of Prayer newly occupies our building in the Third Ward of Houston, we pray that the worship and intercession rising up out of this place shines forth like a lighthouse, leading people out of darkness into the safe harbor of God’s marvelous light!

The greatest miracle of ALL is the miracle of salvation! NO one is EVER beyond being called out of their grave!

Let’s be ones who look for opportunities to carry Jesus onto the scene!
